Ok, let me first say to my last remnant if a couple viewers that I am sorry. I first started this website designed by my little brother as an experiment. I felt as though I had alot to say and in my narcissism I felt that what I had to say was important. So at first my format was every day I would write some entry but after a while I noticed I ran out of things so it became a weekly endeavor then that frequency was too high. So weekly came and went then bi-weekly transpired and that was ok for a while. Now its almost been two whole months and I did want to write it was just I got caught up with other things, but I feel i have something of value to say to my faithful few. As you have noticed with my prediction almost a couple of months ago I stated Obama would win by a landslide and he did 375 to 173. Most of his team is now picked and assembled and it seems like the Dow will continue to hover over the 8000 mark unless something truly drastic happens. I am obviously aware of the managed bacnkruptcy that the government seems to be pursuing as a viable option, I am also aware that there are alternatives to that one. If our domestic auto industry falls castrophically then the Dow will reflect it, it will be 'punch in the gut.' The road ahead will obviously be long and hard the unemployment continues to rise and while the Saudis are cutting the production of oil by 2.1 million barrels each day, it still falls, now its around 36. You have the Madoff factor, but in all thats a given by now, greed/corruption are just two of the factors that got us into this mess. A free-market works in a idealized system, but ours is rarely ideal. You might find a wallet on the street, but you cannot tell me that every individual that picks it up returns it to its rightful owner. I believe that humans have the rationality to do the right thing, but that does not infer that they will. The first one refers to intelligence the other is about character. The 'who you are when no one is looking' would be the common vernacular. Please, do not get me wrong, I am estatic that Obama won, but I do not have my blinders on, even He said we are headed for a difficult time, things will get worse before they get better. He is just being honest and right now thats what the world yearns for. On an ending note, I found it enticing that Obama chose Rick Warren a strong conservative to give his invocation speech at Obama's inauguration. If you have not noticed that would be a McCain strategy, but He is actually crossing the aisle. He really is a tacitican, he knows how to move the pieces in such a way as to win the match and in chess he knows and has said repeatedly "it will take time, but things will work out." That does sound rather Christian to me, oh thats right "all good things will work out for the glory of God to those who love Him." Romans 8:28.

With the recent endorsement of Colin Powell it would seem to clinch the democratic nomination for the next President. The polls are quite varied, which in actuality grants me some relief but Obama is virtually ahead in every one that I have witnessed. There is a interesting notion, however, that many Republicans are apparently embarrassed with their political affliations. If this is true, the polls could be reporting some false positives. Just in case you have not had statistics in a while here's the reference point: "When an observer makes a Type I error in evaluating a sample against its parent population, s/he is mistakenly thinking that a statistical difference exists when in truth there is no statistical difference." I am using that term here because we are talking about samples and given populations relating to who will vote for McCain or Obama. While it may also be true that there are apparently some Reagan Democrats that simply will not vote for Obama, I believe the converse must be applied as well which is conservative Republicans will not vote for McCain. This is why I still feel Obama will get around ~300 electoral votes (270 wins it). The battleground states are slipping into Obama's favor and he generates so much money for campaign 150 million last month alone that the "fat lady" is warming up on her octaves. With the stock market still perceived as quite volatile it would appear that this type of environment favors a Democratic candidate. Another thing worth mentioning is that one of McCain's greatest strengths is "being a maverick," but this does not always help to constitently go against one's party. It carries the implication that your party tends to be wrong, but I'll make it right again, sound familiar (ethics reform). I believe people have a genuine respect for McCain because of his service to our country, however, that will not be enough I believe to win the hearts and minds of the American people in the calamity of this economic crisis. As stated earlier, with all being said who seems more informed and better suited to deal with these issues. Who seems to have a more satisfing answer to our problems. You see my friends (insert McCain here), perception is everything, and it truly does seem that Barack is approaching the Oval office while McCain slips into the distance and shadows. Barack may turn out to be the AntiChrist himself, or he might be the savior of our race, or he might be just another face; the point in all of those scenarios is that could be applied to McCain as well. Fear may motivate certain behaviors, but its really just a shallow innate reaction to a given stimulus, once that stimulus is removed, the fear will dissipate. You may be wondering what the hell am I talking about, Obama's connection will Ayers and other terrorist organizations, his affliations with ACORN, his partnering with Fanny and Freddie Mac. All of this really amounts to is just "smoke and mirrors" the opponent has truly run out of options and begins character assinations since there's a lackluster of new material to run on. Look at how Barack plays it off, he just chuckles and moves on, just some dust in the wind and brushes it off candidly. This is how we would want the President to act, this is what being a President is all about, always being Presidental. The natural inclination would be to fire back and to get angry at one's opponent, but this is simply an insecurity. Once the victory is realized you do not even have to lift a finger because the battle is simply over. This is how Obama is reacting to McCain's acts by not being viewed as retaliatory.
